"The serpents and Eden"

Films: Venom (2005)

Alias: None

Type: Mystical

Location: Swamp/Forest/Haunted home

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: For time immemorial, snakes have been viewed as symbols of evil. Sadly, there are those who still believe this. But hey, it makes for some interesting film fare.

History: Long ago, a voodoo priestess absolved criminals living Louisiana by transplanting their evil into some serpents. However, the evil became too much to contain overtime, and the woman was forced to find a place to store the snakes forever. Alas, a car caused her to swerve off the road and let the snakes escape. Their first action was to bite a hapless truck driver named Ray Sawyer. Soon, all of the concentrated evil warped his mind and body, turning him into a vicious serial killer.

Notable Kills: Slashes a guy's throat with his trusty crowbar, sandblasts a person to death, and gets another impaled during a roadside tug-of-war when a convenient branch gets in the way.

Final Fate: After a while, the only survivor of the ordeal smashes a truck into Ray, ripping him to pieces. However, as Ray lies dying, the serpents leave his body to find another...

Powers/Abilities: Near-invulnerability.

Weakness: Anything conventional, though blessed areas are off-limits for him.

Scariness Factor: 4-It's amazing what a little possession can do to people. Ray went from lowly truck driver to a fanged, robust demon of a man capable of tearing all obstacles apart with whatever he can find, as well as kill people horribly.

Trivia: -This film was actually based off the premise of an unmade survival-horror game known as "Backwater".

-In New Orleans Voodooism, snakes are actually seen as keepers of forbidden knowledge, and are celebrated for it. A particular spirit based off of this is Li Grande Zombi.
